Who We Are:
 The Natural Gas and Electric Power Society (NGEPS), formerly the Natural Gas Society of North Texas, is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals directly and professionally involved in all aspects of the natural gas and electric power industries.

Purpose:
 The purpose of the organization is to improve the skills and knowledge of members by providing a forum for the free interchange of ideas concerning the natural gas and electric power industries and for the improvement of the service which these industries provide the public. This is accomplished through local and regional seminars, luncheons and social events sponsored by the organization.

History:
The Natural Gas and Electric Power Society was formed on September 19, 1977 as the Natural Gas Society of North Texas. In 1996, the membership approved a name change to more accurately reflect the participation of members of the electric power industry and the convergence of the natural gas and electric industries in the new energy marketplace. The Society presently has approximately 200 members and is currently growing into a dynamic organization.
